Betty burned her right thumb and called FireBurnDoctor within 5 minutes to say, "It hurts. It hurts. Burning sensation. Turned white when I burned it. Brown skinned person with white burned patch." When the FBD team called her back, Betty said her pain level was a 6 (on a scale of 0 to 10). About two hours later, Betty called to report: "I'm sorry I failed to call back within 30 minutes. It's my son's birthday today. And so we're running around with that. Just came back home.... The area of the burn appears puffy and swollen. Pain is, like, not even a one, so the pain is greatly reduced. There's still a little bit of a sensation to it. And that's about it. But the pain is greatly reduced. It looks like it's just puffy and brown. I imagine the skin's probably just going to peal off at some point or another, and that's it... Thank you for your help."
